A lot of yoga practitioners prefer delicate flowing yoga pants over anything too clingy. And that certainly makes a tremendous amount of sense, yoga pants that are too tight are going to seriously restrict your movements, which goes completely against the basic principles of yoga.
I suppose you could find a cute pair of stretchy Capri pants that would suffice for your yoga practice, but many people prefer those sort of white, diaphanous, cotton numbers. Of course it is perfectly acceptable to choose bright and vibrant colors for your lightweight yoga pants.
